Home of the famous Mt Baldhead and just a skip away from Dunes Resort.

MTV voted Oval Beach one of the nationâ€™s five best, and Conde Nast Traveler rated it one of the worldâ€™s top 25 shorelines. Additionally, if you're looking to go buff on the bluff, there is a private section of the beach for doing so.

From Chicago: I-196 to Exit 36 to Blue Star Hwy. North on Blue Star Hwy to stoplight at Center St, Douglas. Left [east] at light; proceed one block on Center St. Right [north] at stop sign onto Park St. Proceed until Oval Beach sign, turn left [east] onto Oval Beach Rd. From Grand Rapids: I-196 to Exit 41 to Blue Star Hwy. South on Blue Star Hwy to stoplight at Center St, Douglas. Turn right [east] at light; proceed one block on Center St. Right [north] at stop sign onto Park St. Proceed until Oval Beach sign, turn left [east] onto Oval Beach Road. Ferry open July-Aug, Mon-Fri 11 am-8 pm, Sat-Sun, holidays 9 am-9 pm. 269-857-1701.

This was a very nice beach. The cost to get in was $10. There were really not that many boys around but the scenic view is one of the best I have seen in my life. We ended up going to another beach just up the coast and ended up showing a little more skin there!
